The Presentation evening attended by members old and new, was held on Saturday 19th November .
with a varied selection of winners, both handicap, gender and age wise. It goes to show that the membership at Crookhill Park covers the whole spectrum of golfers of all abilities and ages.
As said earlier Glynn Barnes took the accolade of Golfer of the year, however Wayne Hambrey, who won the Sheffield Union Team player of the year, must have been in the running along with Brad Burleigh the Junior Golfer of the year, who statistically is the most improved, and most consistent golfer at the club in respect of club competition results throughout the year. Ladies Captain Mrs Fairuz Mitchell winning a multitude of competitions that ensure her name will be embedded in the anals of time within the walls of the clubhouse.
The Junior section was conspicuious on the night with both Brad Burleigh and Danny Cox picking up the Chairmans Prize for their commitment to the game of golf, by playing a round of golf, and no matter if they played well, or bad. practiced and went back out on the course.
These are the future Union players for the club, keep up the good work Lads!!!
Other winners on the night were: Matt Yeomans, winning the highly prestideous RDC trophy, Tony "Crookhill's No1" Shelton winning the James Trophy, Alan Ibbotson winning the Underwood Cup.
Glynn "Barney" Barnes claiming in his haul of trophies, Scratch Cup, Wilson Cup however he needed the help of Rick Myers, Andy Goddard and Matt Yeomans in order to capture one of the main accolades of the season, the "Tom Wood Memorial Trophy"
If you ask Glynn, this would probably be his best year as a golfer at Crookhill Park. the overiding fact is besides being a quality golfer, he is also a very likeable, pleasent person, who during the season has taken time out to spend some time with the juniors and pass on his knowledge and wisdom.

On behalf of all the members of the club, both young and and not so young, well done and congratulations onwhat can be only described as a "cracking" year.
